Fade Away: 2-Dominic's View

I couldn't help but laugh at Molly's authority towards Jennifer as I threw my phone into my backpack.You'd never guess she was younger.

Mind you, it's only by a couple of minutes.

I walked out to the living room, and sure enough, my parents weren't there. They never were; it was always their jobs first before anything else. Not that I really cared though, I practically got the house to myself, giving me the freedom to do whatever I wanted.

Grabbing my car keys, I ran out of the house and drove to school.

"You can't just say no! I mean, it's Tristan Bellard, for god's sake," I overheard Molly exclaim.
"I know it is, and that's why I'm saying no. He's an asshole; he'll date any and every girl he can, and then dump them on their arse, just because he can," Jennifer stated, waving her arms around to prove her point.

As I came closer, I could see that Jen had her back faced toward me, with Molly directly in front.

Jennifer sighed. "Honestly, I think boys who date every single girl in the world are just total bas-"
She was cut off by Molly, who had noticed me and was attempting to stop Jennifer from going on before she could say something she'd regret. She must have understood her strange motions, since she whirled around and quickly forced a smile.

"Oh, hey... Dom, sorry... I didn't..." She stuttered.

I laughed. "No, I understand. It is a sorta dickish habit."

She patted my back, smiling reassuringly. "You're not a bastard."

I gave her a questioning look. "Whatever you say, Miss Stokes." In return, she gave me a quick glare. I laughed again. "So anyway, what's this about Tristan asking you out? Not that I much care for gossip, but you guys seem to like it when I pretend to be interested."

That earned me a punch in the arm from Molly. Thankfully, the bell rang before she could bash me up.

We said our goodbyes to Molly as she headed over to her group, and walked to first period. We only had to get through the Science test, and then the rest of the day was pretty much just slacking off.

Unfortunately, that meant I had no last minute study-time.

Looked like I was going to fail Science. Again.
