Dominic
The rest of the day flew by, and before I knew it, it was the final day of school for the year. Turned out I did pass Science, with a C+. The rest of my marks consisted of Cs and Bs.

Jennifer on the other hand had pretty much aced her subjects as usual, only getting a couple that were any less than an A. Even then, they were B+.
As per usual, there were no classes. Instead, there were activities and such around the school. Of course, Jen and I had chosen to go to the Xbox room, and currently she had one of the controllers.
She and 3 boys were playing Black Ops 2: Free For All. Jen had a 7 point lead, with a score of 28.
"Behind you," I informed; screen cheating for her. With immense speed, she turned her character around and killed him. Someone from the front row called out "Bullshit!", only to be told off by the supervising teacher.
Jennifer laughed. "They get so worked up over it. Seriously, it's just a game."
I could only laugh at the irony of the sentence. "Have you not heard yourself play Infinite on 1999 mode? I never knew you had such a colourful vocabulary till then."
She kicked me in response. I knew she probably would have punched me in the arm, but she was too busy playing.
"Sad to say that I think- around the corner- that it's because you're a girl- shit, behind you- and they think it destroys their 'manliness' to lose to one."
"Why should gender matter? I mean come on-"
"Claymore."
"Thank you. But just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to play and be good."
I shrugged. "Hey, I never said I agreed or understood it."
The game over screen came up, and Jen ended up in the end with a 9 point lead at 32. She even had the final kill; a nice quick-scope to the head. I took the controller off her.
"And I never said you did; it was a rhetorical question-" she began.
Jen was cut off by her own, quiet squeal. I turned and saw that my friend Gary Hunter had placed his hands on her shoulders, and must have startled her. She whirled around and slapped his arm.
Gary laughed. "Naw, did I scare little Jenny?" That earned him a second slap, and he laughed once more as he sat down next to her. "Hey, Dom."
The game started, so I just grunted in response. In the corner of my eyes, I saw him roll his own.
"I assume that was you with 32 points, Miss Stokes?" Gary asked Jen, using his normal, cocky tone.
"Yeah. I'm a little disappointed by the score though; I'm a little out of practice."
He placed his arm behind Jen across the top of the seat. "Seriously? That was pretty awesome, and you say you're out of practice? You're pulling my leg here."
That was Gary Hunter for you; endless flirt. I may have had several girlfriends in the same month on a regular basis, but this guy takes it further. He sees, he claims, he does. Literally.
And, like always, he was trying to get with Jen.
I sighed heavily. "Gary, you know she'll still say no, right?"
"I can speak for myself, Dom." Jen turned to Gary. "But he's right, ya know."
He shrugged and retracted his arm. "Worth a shot. Anyway, you should have seen how pissed Tristan was when you killed him. One word for that guy, and it's humiliated," he said, dragging out the word.
"Seems I'm killing him in more ways then one."
"Oh yeah, that's right; he asked you out. Don't tell me you said yes to him and not me." He gave her a pathetic attempt at puppy dog eyes.
She rolled her eyes. "I wouldn't date either of you if you were the last men on Earth."
During this conversation, I'd built up 5 kills, died 7 times, and was coming third.
"Look, it's nice to see you bonding, but I'd love a little help," I said, directing the last bit to Jen.
She shrugged. "Blame Gary. Guy camping around the corner with a claymore; watch it."
I managed to rack up a few more kills, and by the end of the match, I was second by 2 points, with a score of 15.
The guy next to me stared at the controller silently, so I offered it to him. He immediately snatched it off me and got ready to play.
Gary gasped jokingly. "But doesn't poor old me get a go?"
I simply crossed my arms and leaned back into the seat. "Nope; don't care."
"Surely Jenny could offer me some sympathy...?" He began to lean towards her, and I could only groan in disgust at what he was hoping for.
Keeping her expression completely clean as she watched the screen in front, she replied. "Piss off, Gary."
I couldn't help but allow a tiny laugh to escape my lips.
Gary glared at me as he got off the seat. "Such lovely friends, you two are. I'm going to go chill with my nicer friends. See ya later, Dom. Jen."
"See ya," I said as he headed back down the front. Jennifer had just simply waved.
Turning and facing me, she pulled her legs up and crossed them in front of her. "I hear there's some sort of early New Year's mixed with End of School party soon. You going?"
The thought hadn't even crossed my mind. "Yeah, 'course," I lied.
She sighed in what seemed to be relief. "Good, so I won't be just stuck with Molly. I don't have to be bored."
"She's not that bad. Just a little... straight to the point," I lied.
"Yep, because that's the definition of 'party'." She looked over my shoulder. "Appears you have a fan, Dom."
Turning my head, I saw Christina was watching me. When she noticed I'd spotted her, she lifted her hand, gestured for me to follow, and walked out into the corridor.
Looking back at Jen, she had her eyebrows raised and her arms crossed.
I sighed. "I'll go deal with her. Just... make sure Gary, or anyone else, doesn't take my spot."
I got up and walked outside. Christina was leaning against the wall, smiling as if she'd done something wrong.
"Hey, handsome," she said, moving off the wall and kissing me.
I pulled back after a few seconds. "Listen, I just don't think this is going to work out-" I was interrupted by her lips locking with mine once more. She began to run her fingers through my hair, and pull ever so slightly. I was enjoying this a little too much.
When she finally broke free, she placed a piece of paper in my shirt pocket. "Well, when you miss that, call me," she whispered into my ear. I watched as she walked away, her skirt just that little bit too short...
Jesus, I needed to get a hold of myself.
I walked back in to find Jen had sprawled her legs across my seat. I cleared my throat, and she immediately retracted them.
"So, Slutina dealt with?"
"Of course," I replied, sitting back down on to my seat. "Never heard that one before; did you just make it up?"
She laughed. "Have you seen her skirt? You know, on second thought, don't answer that." Jennifer looked at my hair and frowned. "Seems she had the last say in this short relationship."
I quickly ruffled my hair back normal; its short, blonde locks flopping over my head. "What can I say? The woman has hormones. Hey!"
Jen had reached into my pocket and pulled out the note Christina had given me. On it was her phone number, and I believe possibly an imprint of her lipstick.
"Nice. Christina not only has a belt for a skirt and hormones, but now a rain check."
I glared at her, and she laughed in response, placing the note back in my pocket. "No, she hasn't. At least the rain check part, anyway. I don't even know why I decided to go out with her in the first place."
Just then, the bell rang. End of another school year. Only one more left before we'd never have to attend another class again.
Jennifer stood up. "Whatever you say, Dom. See you at the party."
"Bye, Jen."
This one's a nicer length.
So here we get to know a little more about Dom's bad habits, and his other best friend Gary.
And then there's Christina.
See? I promised more plot development, and for the chapters to be longer.
And that promise was kept.
More to come! :D
