There He Was
There he was.
There was no way to tell whether or not it was him, but it must have been. Something about his stance reminded me of him.
I could not see his face. He appeared to be conversing with three other men. One of them stopped speaking, and nodded in my direction.
He turned around to see what the other man was looking at. He saw me and froze.
It was definitely him. Everything about him was exactly the same as I remember, only with added grief.
A grief that I too felt.
I slowly began to edge towards him. He too did the same. My friends were calling my name, but I ignored them. I had to feel his arms wrapped around me once more, just as I had when I was a child.
We began to pick up speed. He and I were both flat out running. After ten years of searching, I could finally be with him once more.
I wanted to scream out his name to the world.
I wanted everyone to know that I had finally found my father.
But I couldn't.
My friends had grabbed me from behind and activated our Time Bomb.
